I'm a serious person !

Oh well ... most of my friends actually thought that I'm an easy going guy, with no worries ... some branded me as the joker, some said I'm always cheerful ... life is actually more than what you can see from the surface =)

I can't blame them, as I always want people to feel happy. In fact who wouldn't want to be with someone happy, I am sure I'm not going to go out with a friend that only knows how to complaint and talk bad about others.

So sometimes I try to remind others, that there's a serious side of me. As I'm worried one day others will not listen to my comments, and feedbacks .. with this, I always say to others : Actually I'm a serious person ! and guess what, EVERYONE will start laughing once I said this =)

River of life =)

You may know what is WWF or WWE, but do you know what is WWR ?


Just after a few month having fulfilled my dreams about landing my feet in the beautiful land of Tawau, Sabah I'm back again to Sabah few weeks back. This time to Kota Kinabalu. It's a short trip so didn't manage to climb Mt. KK, but did catch up with Jo, Eve, and did WWR ..

WWR = White Water Rafting is something you don't wanna miss when you are in Sabah. The river is awesome, and the scenery is just amazing .. =)

Life is like a river ! It can never flow in a straight line, it has to go through rocks, challenges, obstacles, moving in a S motion, finding every single pathway so that is can reach the final destination, the SEA.

Having WWR is also an experience of a lifetime ... flowing together with the water, trying to stay alive moving through all the obstacles. But of cause every battle you will have to be ready, be it strong, or be it a simple one ... you will always have to wear an amour, in order to be protected when the strongest wave hit you ... For me, waves after waves, I kena, getting weaker after each hit, but at least I've put on the amour of God, and praying hard that the river will calm a little so that I can start recovering, and to gain some strength back ...

So at the end of the day, I was tired, I needed rest, I needed food, I needed to pee badly ....

The Guardian

If you have the time to catch a movie, maybe you may wanna watch this one : The Guardian

Left work early yesterday, decided to go for a walk at the nearby shopping mall. Since it's a Wednesday, and the movie ticket is cheaper, so decided to go for a movie, then only shop for something for a Thailand colleague =)

The movie is fantastic ! To me it's better than other fiction movies. This one is a true story, and the best thing is, it's all about coast guards who saves lifes ! Never had I imagine there are people like this, we know there are policemen, there are doctors, there are the marines, but not everyone of us know about the coast guards. This is a story about people who dedicated their lifes to save others, they have to put through hardship from the first day of training, up to the day they are at real scene saving others. I like their motto too : So that others may live ... WOW ! I like this kinda movie, definitely better than superman return !

At the end of the movie, I was so touched, I am thinking of joining the coast guards very soon =)

Anyway, they kinda do the same thing as Jesus = Fisher of men (They help people who's in trouble at sea)

Ain't gonna share more about the movie, it's a must watch, go watch it yourself !

2 sides to a coin =)

There are 2 sides to a coin, sometimes life is the same ... a person can choose to show his/her happy side, cheerful side, but once you know his/her other side ... you may either be sad for that fellow, or you are amazed at his/her strength to overcome life =)

I admit, I have my other side of the coin as well ... who doesn't, the world is not a perfect place to stay =)

Sometimes we ask ourselves : WHY ME ! why bad things always happen to me ! why others have family to support them through their studies without any problems, why others have rich parents, and they don't even need to work hard to earn a living ? Why others are driving Japanese cars, and we have to drive local manufactured cars ? why why why ..... so many whys in this world.

But we never heard cries of others : WHY ME ! Why others have a perfect body to perform their daily life, but why am I born a disabled ? Why did my parents abandon me when I needed them most ? Why God sent me into this world to live a life that's full of suffering ? why why why .. the question continues ...

But then there are many other stories in the world that motivate us to even feel blessed with what we have =) Trust me, God use these people mightily too !

I was reading newspaper the other day, and I saw a picture of someone I knew from a disabled centre in Petaling Jaya. His name is Meng Lai, I got to know him when I went for a appreciation dinner, a special invitation for people who signed up as volunteers at the centre. I did sign up, but I never had the chance to help. It's just amazing to see how strong they are, even they are not so 'capable' like us. I tell you, some of us are not even half of them when it comes to the things they do, and the way the live their life. They never complaint about their short comings, but they live their life to the fullest. Meng Lai had to travel a fair distance to KLCC few days in a week just to sell some of the handicrafts produced at the centre to support the centre. He even got mistaken as a beggar !

So think twice before you ask God why your life is as such =)

Btw, if you have notice, there are many living stories surrounding us already. You may not notice, but sometimes people that we are living with, working with are already people that can shock you with their life stories ... which after all you say will be ... ' oh ... ok ... '

I'm learning how to appreciate what I have, I'm learning how to give thanks even in the hardest time of my life ... please continue to support me in your prayers.

God will make a way, when there seems to be no way =)

Nothing is forever ...

My Motto in life : Nothing is forever !

So many times I experienced, observed, heard people share about their life, that I come into conclusion that there's nothing in this world that is forever !

You can be so successful, but your success can never be forever ... unless u keep fighting till you die, if not you will bound to fall one day =(

You can be the EPL champion this year, but you cannot guarantee the same spot next year ... unless u flight again, but fighting hard sometimes doesn't mean you will win again, other teams can fight better too ... =(

You can make a good year, with great achievements, working your ass off ... but when another year comes again, the whole circle continues =(

You can be rich now, infact very rich now, but who can say you will still be rich in another 10 years, unless you know how to earn constant income, and spend lesser as your grow old, but that won't be the case, you know and I know too =(

You can own the latest technology in the market with the latest MP3, mobile phones, laptops, cars, soccer boots ... etc .. but you clearly know glories like this will not last, sometimes it will not last even for a month ...

You can say you are in love, crazy in love, and handling your relationship greatly, but let's be real, there are still many hearts broken ..

You may just solve a major issue in your life, and you said you are glad it's finally over ... but when the same issue comes again, even though you have the experience ... especially it took you years to solve, do you think you still have the strength to overcome again ?

Well these are just examples of how life treats us sometimes =) I would rather say, these are the challenges in life that keeps us living. God placed us here in this material world so to prepare us for heaven, this I believe even more after 28 years of living ... what is life when there are no hardships to mold us into a better being ... beautiful memories are there for us to cherish, and hardships are there to build our characters, build our spirit, build our life story =)

Friends, some of us just cannot understand why we keep facings hardships while others are having the time of their life. Some of us keep asking God why others have better blessings than us, some of us is constantly praying for things we don't actually need, but things that we really need we never ask from God. We asked for new car, new house, new mobile phone, but we never ask for love, peace & joy for the world.

God has His own purpose in our life, and sometimes it takes a longer time to reveal .. guess we just have to be patient, and wait while we learn how to live =)

Lastly, everytime I tell YS that nothing is forever, she will say : Nothing is forever, but God is forever =)

Golden year of 2007 !

Been playing football for more than 10 years now ... scored so many goals, made so many beautiful crosses, but never get the chance to win the golden boots award ..

So since the golden boots award is something I will never get, I went out and got my own pair of golden boots ... If I'm not mistaken, Zidane was wearing this pair during his famous headbud in the world cup last year ...

Can't wait to have my 'opening ceremony' of my golden boots this Sunday ... what else to say, the golden year of 2007 starts now baby !!

Looking back at 2006 .. and God =)

Oh well, it's the time of the year to ponder what I've achieve in year 2006.

As a summary, year 2006 is a year full of surprises, a year full of travels, and a year full of new life experiences.

God works in His own way, sometimes I am amazed at His work, and the way He moves in my life. It's a very good year considering the blessings I received from Him. But I must admit, I'm a little far from Him lately, maybe because I'm occupied with work, family & relationship. Before I could drift away, He will always pull me back, and set my feet on the ground again.

I've forgotten how to rely on Him, and he's been giving me constant reminders lately. Today I experienced His call, to go back to Him. And this time it's a very visible call. He showed me today that not only He can bless, He can take lotsa things away from me, if that's what He'll need to do in order to bring me back to Him. So, today I suddenly felt so lonely, and I have this feeling to go back to Him. Isn't our God the greatest. You will know somewhere in your heart when you are striped from head to bottom, God will still be there waiting for you.

Many times I thought what I've achieved is solely based on my own capability, but now I realised God plays a big part, I hope this is not too late. I have became a totally different person this year, yeah maybe a little more confident, or maybe a little too arrogant. A lesson God thought long ago but now I've forgotten, that's to humble myself.

So maybe I don't need to wait till 1st January 2007 to start pulling myself together again, I can actually start my new year today, start living my real life again today, and start becoming myself again, the easy life that's ever humbling, ever comfortable, and ever joyful ... anyway what to care about office politics, what to cares about career advancement, what to cares about annual increment when basic principles in life are all in a mess ?

Praying that Year 2007 will be another year of learning, another year of blessings, and another year of breakthrough !

Well how bad a week can be, it has gotta be coming to an end when it's a Friday .. TGIF !!

YZ's aunt from Singapore will be coming over this Sat, will get to spend some time with them, most probably be bringing them to shopping =) Can't wait for my next vacation in Langkawi, coming Mon - Wed. Really hoping for some good rest, and to re-charge a little ..

Well highlight of the week will be Den Nee's wedding. Will be a 'heng tai' this Sunday, will surely enjoy it, especially the rest of the 'heng tais' are also very very cool people. YZ will help to take some photos, then surely I will post them here ..

So basically my vacation starts today till next Wed =)

The last time I really enjoy myself was at the MPE event in Sepang International Circuit. Which after that I have so many reports, so many meetings, and so many appointments right after. What made it even more special was the opportunity to trash a Merc in SIC. Never imagine myself driving one in SIC, with speed of 200 km/h (Not even the top speed yet) and cornering at 130 km/h. Kinda like having a drifting practice in SIC when I heard the tyre sounded like losing it's grip =) Wow what an experience !!

I must admit, lately it has been very bad for me .. and I seriously pray that this is ending soon.

Last 2 days I actually got some good rest, at least the body feels better now. Will be resting more, at least a good start to get back on track. As for work, after all the rush, I kinda felt that I'm actually very free for yesterday & today. So I decided to take this time to do some housekeeping, some filling, and some planning for the week. Just can't waste time when suddenly I have the time =)

The week also started with some good notes, first I was blessed with 2 pens (Thanks PS), then a pda leather casing (Thanks YB & MK). Wonder if there're any more blessings coming to me this week, ha ha ... trying to push my luck a little =)

But at the same time I decided to put my camera on hold, just don't have the $$ to get that fellow at this moment =(

It has been a great year, and I hope to finish the year this way. Will be taking life a little easy for the rest of the week, to ponder about something, and also to count my blessings. I realised I fail to count my blessings lately, only complaining about things I'm not getting ... It's never too early to count your blessings you know, even if thanksgiving is not so near yet .. ha ha ..

For those of you that prayed for me, thanks & please continue ... For those of you who have not started praying yet, start now, what are you waiting for =)

Friday without a single pen =(

Came into the office this morning and all my pens are missing !

I already knew that the number of pens on my desk is becoming lesser and lesser, I lost some of my favorite pens too. I thought to myself, it's ok, just use some of the free pens that I received from roadshows, from banks ... etc. But but ... now not even a single pen is found at the pen case !

My life is like that lately, all my time taken away from myself, little by little. Time devoted to some of the things that I love to do, taken away slowly by my career, family, relationship ... etc. It's a clear sign that very soon, I will have no time to myself anymore. Nil ... Zero ... Kosong !

This calls for an immediate change of system, have to really sit down and start designing a new system before I lose everything I love, everything I have.

My time is not free, at the same time, my pens are not free too !! Please don't take it for granted.
( Anyone is good enough to bless me with some new pens ? )

Eric's formula of success ... or is it a proven theory ??

This is the road to success for all Malaysians ... or is it only a dream ??!!

First you work so hard, your boss likes you so much because of your work productivity ...
Then you work harder and your boss loves you so much because you've improved ...
Then your boss gives you more responsibilities because you are reliable, and you can produce good results ...
Later when you perform well, your boss adores you ...

Then your boss gives you more, even though your boss knows so well you cannot do 3 person's job, anyway your boss still give more ... and more ... more ...
And due to workload you cannot give quality results, and the responsibilities continue to get bigger, and everything is urgent ...
Then you cannot cope with the expectations ...
Then your boss said your performance is getting bad, better buck up ... and sorry, no headcount, so be prepared to work like this for some time ...

Finally you are burn out, sick of working under such pressures, and proceed to try other jobs, and the whole circle starts again ...

So be smart, plan your growth the first day you start work, spread out your improvement for at least 10 years, this way there will be constant growth, and constant increment ...

Just came back from vacation, and another one coming end of this month =)

Yes lotsa travels for year 2006, and I think I may have somemore in Dec.

Life is a little busy lately, with work & relationship most of the time.

Busy with work because of many things, budget for 2007, planning for 2007 ... cost reporting, monthly presentation ... bla bla. Busy with relationship also as YZ and I spend lotsa time together lately, and it's a good thing, I am enjoying every minute with YZ.

I would say my time is separated into 5 major parts now ..

1) Work @ Career ( 35 % )
2) Relationship ( 25 % )
3) Family ( 20 % )
4) God or God's work ( 15 % )
5) Own quiet time ( 5 % )

A few things in my life that I love to do, I miss them ...

1) Football
2) Basketball
3) Window shopping ( Shoes & Gadgets )
4) Sleep
5) Spending time wih my friends

But this is how life grows, you can't be doing the same thing again and again for the rest of your life. You will grow, you need to grow, and with the 24 hours given to you in a day, you can only do so much. As for me, I plan my day, my week. And most of the time, I follow my schedule. Sometimes I am pondering whether it is a real satisfaction, or it is just an excuse to motivate myself, that I'm able to finish my task planned for the day. But if I don't plan, I can be so tension when the files are pilling up my desk ( or my calendar ).

Well, at the age of 28 I think it's too early to retire. This may be the best time to do my best in my career, and try to climb the corporate ladder. But at the same time, I'm also enjoying the best time in my life, going to so many places, trying so many things, so many food. How I wish I could have more time for the 2nd part, but can't just put my career on a hold. Life just needs to be a good balance. Just that it's not so balance lately.

I think it's about time to start planning for something big in the future, like what I say, we must grow ... the only challenge now is .... Time ... time is always not enough !! But looking at the positive side, I'm spending 100 % of time doing something productive, I don't waste my time.

So friends, have you been using your time effectively ? If not, can you just lend me some =)

Penang Island - Makan Heaven of Malaysia =)

Just came from Penang, was there for a delivery audit for 5 days, it's a good trip considering the results and feedbacks we've collected from visiting our dealers in northern Malaysia ( Penang, Alor Setar, Prai Ipoh )

Lotsa time in the car, looking at the ever beautiful sawah padi you don't get to see in Kl ...

Like my experience in Malacca, I went to some good makan places - thanks to Paul & Tung and really enjoyed my stay in Penang, despite the long travelling time from 1 place to another ..

In northern Malaysia, or Penang the makan state of Malaysia, all you need is to bring along a plate, chopsticks, a spoon and a stomach ( don't need to be an empty one, you will eat even if you are not hungry )

Here's a view of the Penang ferry service ... one of 2 ways to get into Penang, the other is driving across the sea via the Penang bridge ... unless you wanna swim =)

I also took some time to think, not sure I will be able to get back to KL ... er ... without gaining weight ....

So after my breakfast, lunch, tea break & dinner, had no choice but to drop by the gym for a workout. For your information, ths is the first time I had to use the gym facility of the hotel after so many business trips. I have no choice, I'm afraid that the airplane cannot take off, so just in case ...

Oh yah, met a good friend of mine in the gym as well ... =)

She's training together with the rest of the national bowling team, preparing for the next asian games ...
