Ubean the Mr. Shinning Eyes !

I was with blogger Ubean, shopping for mini head lamps, because we are going to Bukit Tabur this Sunday for a morning climb, going up hill at 6 am, to catch the sunrise. We were looking for those mini head lamps that you can find in Giant Hypermarket or Tesco, that you wear it at your forehead. Unfortunately not a single shop at the curve or Ikano power centre sells these babies, but we come across something that's even better ! Check it out !!

If Ubean still can't find the mini head lamps, then we will see the incredible Mr. Shinning eyes in action this Sunday, he will lead the way ! Ubean ain't it so .. =)

Anyone interested to get this latest design of head lights, let me know, I can advise you where to buy it, how much it is, and how to operate it =)

Amazing Mum .. =)

Time now is 12.34 am, 29 May 06, and it's my Mum's birthday =)

I just wished her happy birthday, planning to go for steamboat buffet dinner right after work, to celebrate her birthday =)

In my mind, I'm only thanking God for a great mum like mine. Being a guy, and eldest in the family, I got most of the good stuff from my mum. And somehow deep down in my heart I know she loves me alot, sometimes more than my other brothers. Oh yah lately she's little jealous also because she knows she had to share her 'ah boy' with my gf. Remembering things that she did for me and my family only make me wonder where she got all her strength from. No offence but I do feel that, our mums may be the stronger person in the family, while dads is out hunting for money to support the family's finances, mums is the backbone of the family, supporting the family in a different way, with her love, with her care, with her time, and to me, this is even harder to do compared working late in the office.

Well, my mum was blessed with 4 beautiful boys, and we know how much she would want to pray for a daughter, but somehow God has His own plan. Let me tell you, taking care of 4 kids ain't an easy thing to do, and taking care of 4 boys, ha ha .. I cannot imagine. I know I also gave her alot of problems when I'm younger =) I remember when I was younger, she sends me to music class everyweek. I started learning music since I'm 3 years old (See, at age 3 my mum already have such big expectation from me), well learning music from young is something of a blessing to me, I appreciate music so much right now. Anyway, I was learning at Yamaha music school, started with JMC (Junior Music Class) slowly all the way till grade 5 in electrone. And this beautiful thing about Yamaha Music School is, we get to go for stage presentations, or playing for concerts organized by the school, and the best thing, is exams for every grade. Oh yah, I remember very well, as a kid, playing music is something fun, but when it comes to exams, gosh, I will have my mum sitting next to me like 2 weeks before the exam (just like the McD advertisement), and I would cry everytime I am 'forced' to practice for my exams, oh yah did I mentioned about the 'rotan', her best tool to make me sit infront of my electrone organ =( . There's even a time, that I'm so naughty or rather stressed that I just told my mum that I'm not going for exams, and asked her not to force me to go for the exams, I even threaten to do stupid things is she continues to push me ( laugh all you want, but that's what happened ). So, she would just sit down with me everytime I had "sessions" like this, and talk to me, to make sure I'm ok after every session, and sometimes so worried until she would just check me out by coming into my room once in a while. I know she must be so worried, but I'm truly sorry I said things like that to worry my mum, well I was a kid then. Thinking bout it now, let me know that I've matured so much.

There are many more stories I can tell about my mum and me, and if I start telling about all the sacrifices that she did for me and the family, I may need to write non stop for a few days. Anyway, I've learned music for 16 years, and almost became a music teacher. And I can proudly say that, being able to pass all the grades from year 3 till 18, it only shows how much effort my mum has already put into my life. Ask any working mum now, and I am sure they will tell you they don't even have enough time to know their kids, and my mum, while working to earn money to support the family, get to nurture 4 kids, and make all 4 kids so strong in life's good principles. Isn't my mum amazing ?

I believe everyone will have their own amazing mums, mine is just out of the world. Believe me when I say I will always have my mum in my heart, and I know deeply that some of the life principles that I have right now, it came from her.

Mum, Wishing you a blessed birthday this year, and many more in the coming years !!

Sense of security !!

Well, there are so many uncertainties in life, who on earth can say that he/she can promise something and fulfill their promises for the rest of their life. Of course there are people that can do it (I consider myself 1 at the moment, unless I change in the coming years), and there are people that misuse this gift of promise.

Getting into a new relationship is something new altogether, that's why this topic came into my mind. So, what's this sense of security ? Why people are not trusting people now, or rather I put it as, why is trust a thing not easy to give ?? Why people always feels that they may lose something easily, and nothing in the world last forever ?

Indeed things in the world don't last forever, not even our loved ones, they may not be with us forever, and one moment we may be enjoying our life greatest moments with them, and the next minute they are not with us anymore. My pastor shared with us in one of his sermons, babies, when they are at one stage of their baby life, they will try to throw things, or drop things from their baby chair. Once they can't see the things that they threw or dropped, they will start crying, because they assumed that the 'thing' is already missing in their life, because they cannot see it anymore. Later, when they are older, they will do the same, but this time they will try to look around before they start crying. When they found what they dropped at the bottom of the baby chair, they will signal to ask for the thing again. Maybe this is human nature, but I see the same when even we are all grown up, sometimes I think it's even worst compared to the babies. We are so afraid that we will lose something so important to us, something that we cherish so much, that we start living our lifes in "bondage", worrying about our loved ones, worrying about the stuff that we own, worrying about our money, worrying about our career. Come to think of it, sometimes we are living better if we stop worrying and start living our lifes, enjoying it more. Hmm .. maybe that's why insurance company is making hell lot of money from us. Anyway, not any person in the world can promise that life is gonna be just fine, without worries, or challenges. Oh yah friends, if you don't know who's Jesus is, yeah, God is the only person that can promise you that life's gonna be a blessing, but He would also not stop us from facing life challenges, because he knew clearly that, by this only we will grow stronger and wiser. So even God doesn't promise a life that's normal, without bumps and holes for us to fall down (later to which we will learn how to stand up again), who on earth can really promise us life is just normal ??

So, let's just come back to this sense of security thingy, I think the best thing to gain someone's thrust is not by words, but rather asking ourselves in our heart whether we fully love and trust our friends, our family, our life partner, and knowing none of them will misuse the gift of promise and trust. And as for those who's now in a relationship, there's a saying : If you really love someone, you will have to learn how to let him/her go, and if he/she returns to you without requiring your worrying, then that my friends, is call trust, and love =)

Marriage =)

Well I've just attended my uni mate's wedding dinner at Subang Jaya 2 weeks back, Tai Thong. Sat in a table with another 7 other people, whom I only knew 4 of them. Didn't have my gal sitting next to me that day as she's out of the country, but I always gave them an impression that I will never get married, nor will I have a gf, so I think it's quite a surprise to them when I told them that I had a gal =)

What I was thinking about in the wedding dinner is, everyone in my table is already married, and only me .. yeah me not married, not forgetting the person that's celebrating his wedding. And I'm only starting a serious relationship now .. =) So what's this getting married thing is all about ??!! Wondering right now as I'm writing some material for my blog today. I actually thought I would never get married due to the heavy family commitments that I'm having. Until my heart told me that I'm doing well in managing my family, and thus it's about time to go to another level in life. So I did, I got my first gf, yeah one of God's mighty blessings, and of coz I love her, been thinking about her since she went for a holiday.

So, coming back to this getting married thingy, finished with courtship, finished with all the happy moments watching movies, doing stuff together, cry together during sad times, laugh like crazy when we are happy ... and then the question of whether the relationship is so mature now that we have to get married. Thinking of this point, actually I wanna send an email to my church pastor to ask about marriage. What is the true meaning of marriage, why there are so many other cultures, so many practices to marriage, wedding dinners, wedding photo .. bla bla bla .. but the ultimate goal is declare officially that both parties will take care of each other no matter what happen, of coz to prepare ourselves for more responsibilities, like having our own family, raising up kids and so .. hmm .. at this point when I start thinking what other stuff that a marriage will bring along, good or bad, my family, her family, my friends, her friends, bla bla bla ... wow ... hmm .. when will someone be really sure that they are ready for marriage .. I gotta get more information on this topic, suddenly I am SO interested to know more about how 2 persons can stay together for the rest of their life, and just to compromise, to truly understand each other EVEN better ... to talk about stuff, to argue about stuff, to disagree about stuff, and to work out stuff together ... really REALLY interested to understand this MAGIC now.

So till I get more information about this marriage stuff, you guys just have to wait .. =)

Death of another person ..

After work yesterday about 20 of us went for a farewell dinner, a farewell for Careen, a long time friend of mine in the company.

Come to think of it, she's actually someone who's good at caring, just that sometimes she love to talk about other people, and to take a little advantage of other people. Anyhow, my wish for her is, that she'll do better in her new company. She did share with me some of her life experiences, and being the big sister in the family, she has got her committments too, to help her family out. Well, come to think of it, almost every family has got their own sets of problems, or challenges. And life is just like this, we have to learn day by day, to cope well with all these challenges. Nothing in life promises good ending, but at least we know we have God and a group of good friends, or mentors to teach us, guide us, support us along the bumpy road of life.

This morning I received a few phone calls again, this is normal as I'm part operational in my job. Warehouse called, MF called also, and received a SMS from my boss too. In her SMS, she said " Ready for more Bad news? if so, please call me .. " So, immediately I called. And I was told that our CEO of the company, passed away during a boat accident. Well, again what I can say is that's life is short. He is such a nice person, met him a few months back when he was here in Malaysia for a short visit, and now he's gone. Too much sad news lately, just within a few weeks, already heard of 2 person whom I know passed away. The best thing about it too ya, is that when both of them left, both a surprise. First it was Veron's husband, passed away during a prayer session in an indian temple nearby the city, and he too left behind a beautiful kid. The sad thing about it too ya, is that he didn't even say goodbye. We were having a goodtime when it happened, and Veron was only notified via a phone call. Attended the funeral, and everyone in the company is just so sadden by the news. Now, with the news this morning, it only shows that life is short. Better cherish people surrounding you, and also to spend more time with those that love you lots.

There's a saying in chinese, when the tiger dies, it leaves it's skin, when a person dies, he leaves his name. Sometimes it's so true, that if we want people to respect us, we have to learn how to respect people. Somehow long time back, learning this, I've decided that I would too, want to leave a good name when I die. The special thing about this, is that being a nice person may not be easy for some of us, but for me, so far it's been easy. Being nice to people is something very easy to do, and most of us are build this way. Just that I feel that because the world is a sinful place, they are just people who would love to take advantage of this, and start using people, or abusing this power of kindness, that when 1 day, we as normal human being, decided to act protective, and so to stop being kind to people because of the afraid of being taken advantage on. And most of the time, this "protection" will stop us from being a nicer people, that shows care, kindness or love to the people surrounding us. Been living my life with lotsa friends, I've not gave up on this mentality, and I think this will be a principle that I'll hold on dearly for the rest of my life.

So friends, life is short and unpredictable ! Live your life to the fullest, love those that love you even more, and cherish the time that you still have with the people that surround you.

Have a good week ahead !!

My beloved Darlings ..

Introducing my two darlings .. =)

Leigh Ann is the cute little gal on the left, and YinSze on the right is my gal .. =)

Was out with both my darlings on Monday night, for dinner and a little shopping at Tesco. Leigh Ann (Yin Sze's little cousin) is so so cute that almost everyone in the world will love to be with her .. I'm sure I'll have more things to share about her later, she's just so adorable .. =)

Beautiful Bangkok ..

Back from Bangkok !

Was in Bangkok for a week, and glad that I'm back !!

Went to Bangkok with Phui See and Brenda, we went out EVERY NITE and to almost EVERYWHERE ! Bangkok city is just so beautiful, the city is clean, the transportation (City Cab & Transportation) is just fantastic, the food is like heaven, and the people is out of the world - we didn't even find anyone that's rude in the country.

In Bangkok, I realized that the country is growing so fast, and the spirit and energy of the Thai people is just so positive. The Thai people just love their King so much, the even the Cab driver was talking greatly about him. This year marks his 60 years as a king, and he's done so much for Thailand that everyone will be wearing a wrist band to honor him. Well, Bangkok as a growing city, will be more developed compared to Kuala Lumpur in a very short time. I, as a Malaysian that stay near Kuala Lumpur, feel that our mentality is so important to keep us growing, whether it's growing ourselves in life or growing the country. Noticed that for the last few years, the only growth of the country is : More shopping malls, more makan places, more cinemas, more nice cars, but apart from these things, I think we've basically stop growing.

Come to think of it, what have I contributed to the country, except for paying taxes, and seriously I'm not sure where all the $$ from our tax went to ??!! Petrol is going up, and now electricity rate is also going up .. =(

The beautiful thing about Thai people is, that they are still so positive about growth of the country, and you will see how much they love the King and the country, that they would build the country as a team, and everyone in the country counts. Don't really see it here in Malaysia, Malaysian would prefer to complain about stuff, any stuff .. as a matter of fact, just did.
Well, still hope for the best for Malaysia, and I really mean HOPE.

Malaysia Boleh !!

Stay tune for my life stories ... =)

Well ... so many things happened lately, some I'm glad that it happened, some I was amazed that it happened so fast, some I did not imagine happening to me, some just "dropped" from the sky just out of no where, for some I'm still trying to understand why God placed them in my life, and I think many many more of these 'things' will continue to come ...

So been reading so many blogs of others, I think I wanna give it a try with my own, to start sharing some of the things that happened in my life, most of them blessed by God, with life teachings that would shape my life one way or another.

So, here goes ....
