Decided to come to worship practice after work, since I was around the church area after collecting Salena's laptop at SJMC.
We are going to the warehouse for a monthly meeting this coming Thursday, and her laptop is locked out. Since she's gonna be on emergency leave tomorrow as well, I offered to get the laptop fixed before the meeting, she's not gonna go for the meeting without her laptop.
It's a good thing to back in the worship team ! I remember many years ago, when I was serving too in the worship team. I gotta walk 20 mins every Tuesday from my apartment in Sunway to church for practice, and wake up at 6.30 am every Sunday for the 'before church service' practice. It's so fun to belong to a fun group of people. Being here at church tonite, brings back some memories. I miss singing so much (I was the vocalist of the church music band back then) . I also missed the 'music' language the musicians use to communicate during the practice. Don't understand what I'm saying, well if you are a musician you will understand.
Anyway, this is what they say when they wanna communicate during practice :
To the drummer : No no no, you come in only after the introduction by the keyboards ... er .. too fast ... no no .. too slow ... no no like this, tuk a tuk a tak tak, then dum dum ... and ciang ! ah like that ..
To the keyboardist : Use string here, have to be a little fast there ... ah, sustains .. fill in ... G sharp minor ..
To the bass : Yes here, bom bom bom bom ...
And more to the vocalist, the guitarist, the lead guitar ... etc
One thing really amazed me after so many year ... the worship team, with so many people come and go, musician changing year in year out, with only 1 practice session on Tuesday night, and 1 before the service, this is what the team needed to play beautifully in the actual service. In music, if everyone in the band doesn't play in one tone, the music is going to be very messy. By God's grace, I know everyone practiced very hard even before and after the official practice session, but more importantly when the group come together to practice together, the mix and the team work is most important. Everyone can be so skillful, but when it comes to a group thing, individual skills ain't gonna be important.
It's the same working in a company. Every department have to work like the musicians in the music team. Everyone is important to the 'body' and to make the music perfect, everyone have to play their part. No one is greater than the other, and only when the whole company work together, the company will progress and grow. So suddenly I realized that the reason for performing my job with less passion lately, maybe due to stress, tiredness .. or maybe I see myself not so important anymore in the company. This is why sometimes working in operation sucks a little. They will be front liners meeting customers promising all sorts of nonsense and later people like us, not only busy dealing with existing operation issues, have to work on new projects to ensure company growth. Saying this, sometimes I still don't understand what Logistics team have to do with saving $$ for the office expenses (For many who doesn't know, I was just made committee of the 'Prudent Team' of the company) .. well ... that's something that I will not understand for many many months ..
Sometimes I wish the management can understand, the ass hole is also as important as the eye or the mouth of a person, but doing the dirty job. Like what the circulation of this particular email says, if the ass hole decided to stop everything from coming out, the body may die .. ke ke .. come to think of it, I feel like a ass hole now ... =(

After my drink @ Oasis Cafe, we went to the Tawau wet market to get some stuff ..
This is how the Tawau Wet Market look like, similar to the ones in KL, but Will told me that's another one in town, may pay a visit if we have the time.
Giant Prawns only found in Sabah, trust me it's huge ! 2 giant prawns is like a Big Mac's size, maybe McD can have a prawn burger someday =) Yum yum !!
